The notification on August 2nd pertinent to Americans traveling to foreign countries displays a United States flag flying over what appears to be a larger LGBT (rainbow) flag. Travel.State.Gov is described on itshome page as “a service of the bureau of consular affairs, U.S. Dept. of State”.
But isn’t displaying a logo promoting the LGBT rainbow flag under the American one akin to waving a red flag at a raging bull in Muslim countries?
As far as the U.S. State Department is concerned, US visas for Same-Sex spouses and the DOMA ruling is more important than both the closing of American embassies and consulates around the world and terrorist threats.
See for yourself here:
In the picture displayed on the Department of State’s homepage, only the rainbow flag appears with the American Stars & Stripes. As far as is known, the flags of other visible minority groups are not advertised in a similar fashion by the U.S. State Department.
Both The LGBT rainbow flag and LGBT logo are prominently displayed on the U.S. Dept. of State website.
On the right hand side of the website there are three major public alerts in the following order:
- Hurricane & Typhoon Season 2013;
- LGBT Travel Information
- Temporary Post Closures and Worldwide Travel Alert
It appears that the State Department was issuing travel alerts to the LGBT community as far back as April 9, 2013.
Their section on international travel information is broken down into 10 sections:
- Travel Warnings
- Country Specific Information
- Travel Alerts
- Hajj Fact Sheet
- LGBT Travel Information
- International Travel Safety Information for students
- Women Travelers
- International financial scams
- International Maritime piracy
- Pandemic Influenza Fact Sheet
How to go to the Hajj??
Notice that there are no sections warning Christians about travel in Muslim-dominated countries, or warnings for Jews traveling anywhere in the world.
The travel warning coincides with the closing of almost two dozen American embassies, a closure that so far remains in effect until this Sunday.
According to their own alerts carried by the mainstream media since Friday, the threat of terrorist attacks makes this a dangerous time for people to travel.
In that case, why isn’t the U.S. State Department working for the entire population rather than just Democrat voting blocs?
