Renee Braddy, stay at home wife and mother with a teaching degree from Brigham Young University, talks about the dangers of Common Core education.-- West Harrison, NY. September 21, 2013
There is no shortage of conservative criticism toward the Common Core curriculum currently being implemented in many of the nation’s public schools. Highly influenced by leftist ideology, students are being subjected to lessons that largely refute the traditional values held by millions of families.
Perhaps even more disturbing, however, is the objectionable material included in peripheral material – including links hosted on Common Core’s official website. The mother of a kindergarten student in New York recently announced her discovery of an obscene questionnaire linked to the state’s site.
The following information, though edited, could be offensive to sensitive readers; however, this is the material federal bureaucrats believe the next generation should be able to easily access.
A number of sexually explicit quizzes lead students of all ages on an outrageous journey to discover whether they are ‘sluts,’ ‘losers,’ or even if they qualify as a ‘sexy b***h.’
In one such quiz, kids are prompted to respond to questions regarding how many sexual partners they have had, whether they have dabbled in incest, and if they would consider a “threesome or a gang bang.”
Another quiz, which associates being a virgin with being a ‘loser,’ asked males whether they “pay for any female interaction” before crudely inquiring into their masturbatory frequency.
The unbelievable quiz continues by asking respondents for the “average size of your d**k” and asking whether they cross dress.
Reports indicate the link was activated at least as long ago as October 2012, giving students of any age access to a completely inappropriate webpage.
The site has since been removed from the Common Core homepage; however, parents are understandably outraged such a partnership existed in the first place.
It is virtually impossible for parents to ascertain the breadth of such inappropriate material, especially considering the notorious lack of transparency associated with the curriculum plan. As educators usurp more and more control over the upbringing of the next generation, parents must unfortunately fight harder than ever to maintain their role as their children’s primary influence.
