Respected Hollywood film producer, Gerald Molen, who co-produced Schindler’s List, and also co-produced 2016, accused the Obama Regime of targeting D’Souza for his political beliefs. Molen told The Hollywood Reporter (THR):  ”In America, we have a long tradition of not doing what is commonly done in too many other countries — criminalizing dissent through the selective enforcement of the law.”

According to THR, D’Souza is being charged by the regime of over-contributing to Wendy Long in 2012, who was running for Hillary Clinton’s then vacant Senate seat in New York. The indictment states that D’Souza donated $20,000 to Long’s campaign, aggregating the money from several different donors and didn’t properly report the source of funds. 

Molen went on to compare Obama’s political targeting of D’Souza to that of the Obama IRS targeting the Tea Party movement in America. Molen told THR:  “In light of the recent events and the way the IRS has been used to stifle dissent, this arrest should send shivers down the spines of all freedom-loving Americans.”

UPDATE: In 2011, Pierce O’Donnell, a prominent Los Angeles attorney, was charged and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, for the same crime.
