Common Core Equates George Washington to Palestinian Terrorists.

: Pearson Common Core expert: ‘Was George Washington any different from Palestinian terrorists…?’

Now, as managing director of the Common Core Initiative at Pearson, Codding, along with several other shameless CES educators, including Wiggins, McTighe, and Pearson Foundation Vice President of Programs Susan Sclafani, are being paid to bring their indoctrination techniques and anti-American views to millions of teachers and students via Common Core.

Common Core Equates George Washington to Palestinian Terrorists.

How many times do I have to write about the problems discovered in Common Core teaching?

According to Pearson website:

“As the leading education services company, Pearson is serious about evolving how the world learns. We apply our deep education experience and research, invest in innovative technologies, and promote collaboration throughout the education ecosystem. Real change is our commitment and its results are delivered through connecting capabilities to create actionable, scalable solutions that improve access, affordability, and achievement.” [Emphasis mine]

Like Barack Obama, their commitment to change is intended to alter the truth about American history and make our Founding Fathers look like terrorists, hypocrites and scoundrels. They seem to delight in making America look evil. Some of their authors also promote anti-Semitic ideology.

Here are some of the examples of what Pearson’s authors are putting into classrooms:

Grant Wiggins is a Pearson author and partner and a Common Core professional development trainer. He helps provide instruction used in Pearson Common Core webinars. Among the things that Wiggins has written to be used with Common Core are the following questions:

“Was George Washington any different from Palestinian terrorists trying to protect their country?”

“Was Jefferson a hypocrite? Did he really think of a slave as a sub-human while writing the Declaration of Independence?”

In his webinars, Wiggins tries to justify this type of teaching by calling it ‘backward design’ of ‘backward transfer’ saying it explains ‘how issues of backward transfer relate to the Common Core.’

James Rubenstein is employed by Pearson Education and is the author of The Cultural Landscape: An Introduction to Human Geography. This book asks students:

“If a Palestinian suicide bomber kills several dozen Israeli teenagers in a Jerusalem restaurant, is that an act of terrorism or wartime retaliation against Israeli government policies and army actions?”

Wiggens and Jay McTighe are also part of the Coalition of Essential Schools (CES). EAGnews.org reports:

“Wiggins and McTighe have worked with the Coalition of Essential Schools (CES) for many years as research scholars, studying CES method, pedagogy, and curriculum, and incorporating them into the creation of their own curriculum and instruction design.”

Deborah Meier is a co-founder of CES. She is a Marxist-socialist. She is also the author of the socialist book Who Owns America which teaches that America doesn’t belong to Americans nor does Israel belong to Israelis.

In one of their curriculum, Wiggins and McTighe asks students:

“What then were the causes of the American Revolution? It used to be argued that the Revolution was caused by the tyranny of the British government in the years following the Seven Years War. This view is no longer acceptable. Historians now recognize that the British colonies were the freest in the world…”

“The French menace was removed after 1763 and the colonies no longer felt dependent on England’s aid. This did not mean that they wished for independence. The great majority of the colonists were loyal, even after the Stamp Act. They were proud of the Empire and its liberties…In the years following the Stamp Act a small minority of radicals began to work for independence. They watched for every opportunity of making a crisis and in Boston it was this group who staged the Boston Tea Party… In the Thirteen Colonies the Revolution had really been a civil war in which the whole population was torn with conflicting loyalties. John Adams later said that in 1776 probably not more than one-third of the people favored war.”

Pearson Education also has a ton of financial backing since they partnered with the Bill and Linda Gates Foundation in 2011. Their goal was to create a ‘complete, foundational system of instruction built around the Common Core Standards.’ The Pearson website announced the partnership saying:

“The Pearson Foundation today announced a partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support America’s teachers by creating a full series of digital instructional resources. Online courses in math and reading/English language arts will offer a coherent and systemic approach to teaching the new Common Core State Standards. Common Core Standards were developed by the National Governors Association, in partnership with the Council of Chief State School Officers. Forty-one states, two territories, and the District of Columbia have adopted the standards.”

“Unique and original, this project is dedicated to creating a complete, foundational system of instruction built around the Common Core Standards. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will provide funding and research to support this partnership.”
